The muff...
The Muff wig is an ever evolving artistic symbol which articulates some of our feelings in reaction to growing up in a media dominated culture which permeates images of a singular type of person. As women, we felt we wanted to react against the female version of this, images of young girls which are nearly always white, thin, hair free, passive, straight, available looking and sexy rather than sexual. The muff wig isn't specifically about hair, although that's part of it.
